So it seems like whenever I am just about to get ahead something with one of my cars just has to suck me back down. It seems like my Corvette isn't going to be able to pass smog but since the state of california says that I have to take my car to a "Test Only" shop I can't call in any favors to get it passed on the d-lo.
I took it in for a pre-test with the dude who would have hooked me up and he said that the catalytic converters were clogged. That is Teh Suck. The laws about what is allowed to be replaced and with what you can replace when it comes to emissions equipment is totally wack so I am going to have to do some research before i can decide what happens next.
I tried getting new catalytic converters like two years ago but the dude at the shop wouldn't do it because he said it was illegal to replace emissions parts if they were working. Well, who the F determines what is working and what isn't? I think I am going to have to take in in for the real test and have the car fail in order to get permission to change the catalytic converters.
In other news, my mom bought herself a new Honda Accord. She called me to tell me that they didn't offer her much for the trade in of her car so she wants me to sell the VW and come over and pick up her old car, a Toyota Camry.
It's a very nice car, in perfect condition. I was just starting to fix up the little VW too. Oh well, I guess it will be nice to have a super reliable car to drive around in on a daily basis now.
I'm so bored.
