So I said that I was just going to go home and hit the gym on Friday night...I lied. Well, kind of. I was on my way out when a couple of co-workers asked me if I had any plans. I told them that I was just going to hit the gym and then go to my poker game. They asked me to ditch the gym and have a few drinks with them.
We ended up going to 13 Views @ the Hyatt down at the Embarcadero Center. I only had one drink but it was more about hanging out with the guys, talking shit, and just having good times. After finishing our drinks we went our seperate ways.
I headed back to Fremont and stopped by my house. I had some time before the poker game started so I threw the new battery in the Corvette and fired it up. Oh man did it sound so sweet! You can't beat the sound of good American CHEVY muscle singing through a Borla exhaust!
I backed out of the driveway and that first surge as I hit the gas pedal almost made me wet my pants. It's been a long ass time since I was driving something with that much power. My 11 year old baby can still wipe the streets with cars rolling off the showroom floor today, including the new Mustang GT piece of shit.
Enough of the car wars though...I drove over to Ranch 99 because The Funk asked me to pick up some Lychee for the Lychee Martinis he was going to make. He also wanted some unfiltered Sake (nasty!) and paper plates. I love going to Ranch 99 just because of all the hot asian MILFs that are always there, heehee.
When I went back out to my car and tried to start it up nothing happened. I started to panic. How could my baby be dead already? It turns out that the positive cable was loose so I had to tighten it down. I switched bolts so it would be easier to disconnect the negative cable when the car was going to sit for a long period of time. I don't want the battery dying again.
Anyway, I got it started and drove it over to The Funk's place. Damn it felt good driving my Corvette again. I'm going to drive it to the gym every night from now on. I don't care how expensive gas is.
When I got to The Funk's place I was one of the first people to show up. I really hate this because we have to sit there and stare at the food until most of the people show up. I have pictures of everything The Funk made but I haven't uploaded them yet. I'll do that tonight. He made Machado, Chicken Fritada, Pork Adobo, and Palabok. It was all so damn good! The special occasion was Tina's birthday (which is actually on the 29th) and kind of a co-worker's birthday but she decided not to come over.
I didn't actually play poker though. Just wasn't in the mood. Instead I went up to The Funk's room to kick it with Mokee, Coleen, and Jen. We watched Saw...well, they watched Saw while I drifted in and out of sleep. I couldn't help it, I really needed my sleep.
After the movie was over the three girls went home. I went downstairs where the Karaoke had started and I sang my sweet little ass off for a few hours. I was surprised that I actually sounded decent. It must have been The Funk's new machine, it has the power to make a crap ass voice like mine sound sexay!
Finally everyone decided it was time to go home. As soon as I layed my head on the pillow I was out!
