My weekend wasn't all that eventfull. Friday night I went to a birthday party in Burlingame for one of my co-workers. I had a pretty good time there for the most part. There was lots of dancing.
I spent Saturday with my grandmother in Modesto. She's been in and out of the hospital a couple of times over the last few weeks. It was really nice to visit with her and my grandfather.
I decided to stay at my parent's house Saturday night so I called up my old friends and we went out. They wanted to take me to this place where everyone goes to party. It was called the Whanga Rei or something like that. It was an old Eppies that they turned into this fortified club/compound. They put up a perimiter fence of bamboo and the whole place had an island theme complete with giant tikis, fire pits, and beach volleyball courts. Very odd out in the middle of corn fields.
After a while there we decided to head back into town and go to a dive bar. We just sat there and had a few drinks while watching familiar faces go in and out.
Sunday I drove back home because I had a haircut appointment. Before I could get my hair cut though, The Funk needed help moving the shell of a jacuzzi that he had bought. Crazy.
So when I got to my hair cut appointment they informed me that my hair stylist no longer worked there. WHAT?!? So I started to drive back to The Funk's place to kick it when my phone rang and it was my hair stylist. He called to let me know he was working at another salon and he wanted me to go there for my appointment. The new place was nice.
Afterwards I went home, took a shower and called e*booger. She said she wanted to start going to the gym with me and asked if I would train her. I was really hesitant because I didn't want to be held responsible for babysitting anyone at the gym. I don't want to get into a whole things where I have to call someone and coordinate when I go to the gym, have them show up only half the time, and all the other crap you have to deal with in a workout partner. Well, let's just say that our first day as workout partners was an example of why I don't want a workout partner, she didn't show up. Whatever.
So Sunday night I went to Kim's place because Mokee was visiting from New York. I knew she was going to be here because we talked about a week or so ago. Apparently her boyfriend moved out of the apartment while she was away in Las Vegas. Like when she got back all his stuff was gone and so was he. I feel sorry that something like that happened to her but in a way I'm kind of happy. This way she can focus on school and besides, it never hurts to have another hot single chick out on the market.
After dinner at Mokee's I went to the movies with The Funk and Harry. We saw Sin City. I think it was a good movie. I can't be sure though because I fell asleep and missed the whole middle part of it.
