So last night Lana from friendster.com came over to my house. When she got there we left to go get a Jamba Juice at Union Landing. We kicked it in front of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and chatted for a bit.
My belly was kinda rumbly cause I hadn't eaten dinner so we went to Umi Sushi for a quite bite to eat. The sushi was ok, not great though. It seems they don't put out fresh sushi for the dinner crowd which is kinda weird.
After eating we drove back to my place. I thought maybe she would want to head home since she had to drive all the way to San Francisco and it was nearing 9pm. When we got to the house she said she wanted to come in for a bit. I was cool with that.
We went in and kicked it in our living room/kitchen area. My roommate's three chihuahuas were in the back yard barking up a storm. They always do that when someone new is at the house. They make all sorts of noise and won't stop until they have gotten a chance to meet the new person up close and personal. My roommmate let them in the house so they could do their usual thing of sniffing and licking the new person. After meeting her they went back to doing what those hyper little rats do. They were runing around playing with their toys and stuff.
After a while Lana asked me where the bathroom was. I got up to show her the way to the bathroom and she followed me. About halfway to the bathroom I heard a shriek, a bark, and an "owwwwwww". I turned around and Lana was just standing there frozen holding the back of her leg. I asked her what happened and she said that one of the dogs had bitten her.
I was shocked and embarassed. I asked her if she was sure that one of them had bitten her because the dogs have long nails and they have a tendency to scratch pretty bad when they jump on your leg. She said no they didn't scratch her, one of them bit her on the back of the leg right above her knee.
She went into the bathroom and came out but refused to come back into the kitchen/living room area until we put the dogs in their cages. I asked her if she was ok and she said that she was fine but their were puncture marks and she was bleeding a little bit. My roommate got her a band aide and apologized for what the dog had done. She went back into the bathroom and then came out. After a few minutes she decided to go home.
I was so embarassed/shocked by what had happened. Those dogs are annoying with their barking but they have never bitten anyone. Lana couldn't say which one bit her but if it was any of them it had to be the oldest one, fathead. He is the only one big enough to maybe get his little jaws open enough to give someone a good bite.
Who wants to come over and get bitten by my roommate's dog?
