Yeah, so Saturday I got a haircut and then wanted to see City of God, but it wasn't playing until like 4pm so I went to see Far from Heaven instead. It was a good movie.
In the middle of the movie The Funk called me. I checked the voicemail he left me when I got out of the theater and he wanted to know if I was up for going to Tommy T's for a comedy show. He said they were leaving at 5 so I had to hurry my ass back to Fremont from Palo Alto. I was kinda debating whether or not to go because I hadn't eaten anything yet and I was really hungry. When I got back to Fremont, The Funk told me that they were going to eat at Claim Jumper's and that the food was worth being on the verge of starving for.
So I decided to go up there with them. On the way The Funk informed me that his The Old Ladies Wit' Da Babies Wit' No Daddy's Crew were going to be meeting up at Tommy T's. I was like, "oh fuck." They are nice peepz and all. I don't mind hanging out with them. The problem is that they desperate for "daddies for 'dey baybays" and it makes it ackward to be around them. One in particular was calling me non-stop a few years ago after I got tricked into going out to a club with her and she was going to be hanging out with us that night. I was hoping to make it through the night without too many ackward moments.
So we had our dinner at Claim Jumper. It was damn good. It's one of those giant portions type places. I had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a 16oz. Danish Ribeye. It was all mmm mmm good. The chicken tortilla soup was absolutely delish, and would have filled me up if I hadn't of been starving all day. The rib eye was da bomb. It has melted bleu cheese crumbles on top. It was a perfect medium rare with just the right amount of grissle on it. The loaded baked potato was good too.
After we left Buddha handed me one of thos after dinner candies that they usually have in a basket near the front desk. I could not believe my eyes when he handed it to me. It was a root beer barrell!!! I haven't had one of those since I was a kid. I love root beer barrell candy! If I would have known they were giving away those candies I would have stolen the whole basket.
So then we went to Tommy T's and watched some good comedy. There were a group of drunken hecklers there but all the comics took care of them quickly. I need to go out to more comedy shows.
It turns out that Tommy T's turns into a dance club after the comedy show so we stuck around with The Old Ladies and got our groove on. There were a couple of ackward moments on the dance floor. I was dancing with one of The Old Ladies when a hot chick came up and said hi to me. She then proceded to climb up into one of the cages on the side of the dance floor and shook her bootay like it was on fire. Well, this kind of ticked The Old Lady I was dancing with off and she whispered in my ear, "I can do that too" and then proceeded to back her trunk up and wiggle it in the direction of my crotch. I was all like, "oh lordy lordy..."
So we didn't stay there long. We said goodbye to The Old Ladies and headed back towards Fremont. Then we got a call from Double D who said she was at Temptations with Kim. So we took a detour and ended up at Temptations for the rest of the night. The place was filled with giant drunk Samoan's. It was scarey. The last thing I want to get caught up in is a giant drunken Samoan rampage. I am tiny and they would rip me to shreds! We did escape Temptations un-squashed.
Sunday morning I went to breakfast at Cabrillo Cafe with The Funk, Buddha, and a friend of theirs, Marie. Marie is a hottie yo. I first met her last Thursday when we went to Capitola. She lives down there and came up to Fremont for the weekend to visit family. I had the basic breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and chicken-apple sausage. If you are in Fremont you have to have breakfast at Cabrillo Cafe.
We spent the rest of the day at the San Jose flea market but nobody really bought anything. I did get a bag of gummi worms.
That evening we had a BBQ. We grilled up some pork baby back ribs and salmon. We also had some really buttery, flakey bread and broccoli. It was all good good goood.
We also watched the Oscars. Nothing gets people more enraged about silly shit than the Oscars so I will keep my Oscar opinions to myself.
