So I posted a profile on Nerve.com last week. I was going to embark on an adventure to get Poocake a man, and if I found myself a sweet lady in the process all the better.
So I made this profile: Guapomole
Well, it only took a couple days and then I got a note from someone. She was sending me a couple notes a day and then all of a sudden they stopped when she discovered something horrible about me...I OWN A CORVETTE! Well, I don't really know if she has stopped contacting me because of that but it's the story that i'm going to use. So I thought I would share with you our correspendence.

Depends how complicated they are. Did you do any contracting work? You have a bunch of itemized deductions? If you are filing with the 1040EZ then no problem. Regular 1040; I could handle that. But if there is any wacky stuff then I would probably get bored halfway through and start watching Spongebob Squarepants. Doing your taxes correctly is very important, you should always seek the advice of a competent tax preparer if you need help.
...uh...wait...was that a pick up line or something? DOH!

Well lets see- I'd say I am a 1040A kind of gal- no need for itemized deductions but need to be sure I get those credits in for the student loan payments.
So you a good-looking sauce, is that it? I've unfortunately lost much of my Spanish, but I still have the basics guapomole.

I can handle a 1040A. Just get all your paperwork together and let me know when you're ready. You can contact me at [email protected]. Just in case nerve filters out email addresses here it is again with spaces between all the characters:

Personal email huh? That would be cheaper wouldn't it?
I actually was planning on my own taxes- that was my snazzy pic-up line since I was feeling pretty uncreative. So I am sguessing you don't do taxes for a living?

I thought so but i'm too much of a dork to really realize that. Did that make sense at all? Anyway, yeah I don't do taxes for a living but since I've pretty much only worked for financial institutions since leaving college I get asked for tax help all the time. My best suggestion is using turbo tax on the web. It costs like $15 to file your federal return, and about $10 to file a state return. It's pretty simple to use even if your taxes are complicated. It takes you step by step and asks you all the questions that need to be answered. Ok, I'll stop being a dork now.
So...how did you end up on Nerve.com? I first heard about this place when an online acquaintance gave me a link to a story about a man who "loves" a copy machine. It was so weird. I liked it. That was like over a year ago and I never came back until this week when that same person mentioned that they had a profile here. So I came here and created a profile.

What exactly is an "on line acquaintance"?
Oh, a friend of a friend did this thing and I decided to try it. I have been pretty negative about the on-line thing but I checked out the site and it looked like most of the poeple had read at least one book, so tha was promising. I actually just started last week and am slowly getting oriented with it.
Have you braved to meeting people on the outside?

What is an "on-line acquaintance"? hmmm...I guess it's someone that I really kind of only know from chatting with them online. Although I have actually met this online acquaintance once but we both pretended that we didn't know each other. I have "known" this person for over 2 years now, we live only about 20 minutes away from each other, but we never really discuss hanging out or anything. It's a long weird story.
I have never before done any online dating, although I do also have a profile on Match.com (also tied to the "online acquintance") that I set up recently. I'm very shy when I'm around new people or places so I don't know what I would do if all of a sudden I got a bunch of responses from people wanting to meet. If I was fairly certain that I wasn't going to get chopped to bits or kidnapped and sold to gypsy's I would probably be cool with meeting someone in a well lit public place with plenty of escape routes.
Actually, this just occured to me. I do actually meet people that I have met online on kind of a regular basis. It's kind of an informal online car club type thing. Every so often we go for drives. We'll cruise down the coast to Monterey or we'll head up to Napa for the day. And whenever someone from the car forum is visiting the Bay Area from out of the area, we will usually get together and show them around. Next month is a big yearly drive down to San Simeon. We are going to drive down 101 and there will be a big reception with prizes and stuff. I'll be staying the night down there and hopefully on Sunday I'll get to tour Hearst Castle before I drive back up. There are usually about 150 or so cars that drive down together, it's quite a sight.

So is this some classic car get together? Or what is the basis for the congregation at Hearst Castle?

No, not a classic car group. Although there are a bunch of classic cars that will be going. It's a Corvette group. We all hang out on the Corvette Forum online. I feel out of place a lot of times because everyone is so much older than me. I'm usually the youngest one at our gatherings. This is the first year that I will be going on the San Simeon cruise. I've always wanted to go but things always came up. I'm really excited.

Ha! I love that I was close to guessing! Corvette huh" like old Corvette's that are always in cheesy posters with bikini-clad women?

Mine's not a classic or a 70's shark, like the ones you always see in the posters with the bikini clad women. I have a 94. It's nice, it can be a pain at times though. I try to not live up to people's stereotypes of Corvette owners.

Ha! I love that...
So that's it...no more responses after that. I don't know if I should send her one more note to see what's up or not. I don't know if I should post her profile on here so you can all gawk at her. Blah!
