OK, so Saturday night my roommates went out to have dinner with family and I was home alone. As I was flipping through the channels on the TV I noticed that Saturday Night Fever was going to be on. Oh hells yeah, I thought to myself. Home alone with Saturday Night Fever on the tube just cannot be beat! So I shook my groove thing while watching one of the greatest movies of all time.
After the movie was over I headed over to Paulo's Lounge to make an appearance for DJ Mike's grand opening. The place was packed. I tried to get a drink but every time I would try to tell the bartender what I wanted someone would call her over and she would take their order instead. I got annoyed and decided not to drink anything.
Sunday was football day. The games started at 9am. Way too early for me to be waking up. I let the fellas know the night before not to expect me to come over until half time of the first game. When I got there The Funk told me that he cooked breakfast for everyone and to go have some. I told him that I wasn't hungry because, well, I wasn't hungry. He was a little annoyed that I didn't eat. I guess he had cooked a big breakfast for everyone and no one ate. The 49ers lost and The Funk and Buddha were pissed.
Then the Raider game started. The Funk and Buddha were rooting against the Raiders. The Funk busted out with a gigantic bag of chicken nuggets that he picked up at Costco. I had never seen so many chicken nuggets in my life. He heated them up in the oven and everyone started chowing down. Everyone but me, I still wasn't hungry. Everette asked The Funk how much money he owed him for the food stuffs. The Funk said, "oh, it was over $60 for all the food." And everyone was all like "$60" and The Funk was all like, "yeah, $60. I bought two pizzas and extra ground beef, onions, bell peppers, and cheese to put on the pizzas plus the chicken nuggets." and I was all like, "that still doesn't sound like $60, yo" and he was all like, "well it was $60 and that's how much you guys owe me" and I was all like, "that's cool and all but I just don't see how you could pay $60 for essentially two pizzas and some chicken nuggets"
With that The Funk was pissed off at me. I don't think it was really me questioning the wisdome of paying $60 for two pizzas and some chicken nuggets so much as it was the 49ers losing and the Raiders kicking ass. The Funk gets very emotional with the football thing. Shortly after one of the pizzas was done, with a mound of stuff that The Funk had piled on, he took off to his girlfriends house and didn't come back. Oh well, I still think $60 for two pizzas and chicken nuggets is too much and next time he wants to spend that kind of money on food he should maybe call someone and say, "hey, does this sound like a good idea to you?"
We ended up eating only one of the pizzas and I only had two slices for which I had the pleasure of paying $12.00.
