So I went to Las Vegas this weekend. it was a work thing. Kind of like an annual meeting of the branch managers, various supervisors, and executives. So I flew out Friday afternoon with a couple co-workers and we arrived in Vegas around 7pm. From there we went straight to the MGM Grand where we were staying and then headed to Emeril's for dinner. The good there was good but not great, not worth the crazy prices on the meal though. I had the pan seared black bass filet with goat cheese gnocchi, spinach, and broccoli and this fishy tomato sauce. Thankfully I also ordered soup, the fish gumbo. I say that because it took over an hour for our entree to come out. If I hadn't of ordered soup I would have starved.
Did I forget to mention that my co-workers and I started drinking when we got to the airport and didn't stop until...well we just didn't stop. After dinner we walked around and hit up a few of the hotel bars. We ran across some other co-workers but we really didn't want to kick it with them. My ex-manager wanted us to play a couple of games of keno for her but they didn't have keno at the MGM Grand so we had to walk over to the Excalibur for that. So drinks in hand we made our way over there. Of course when we got there we had a few more drinks while playing keno.
After the drinks and keno we decided to go back to our rooms to sleep. My feet were killing me and I was ready to pass out. On the way back we ran into some more co-workers who wanted us to have drinks with them. I really wasn't feeling up to it so I went up to my room but Deelan went with them for drinks. I found out the next morning that a couple of the Southern California branch managers got a bit crazy and one of them was even flashing her tits...and they are hot too. Oh well.
Saturday was spent in a day long meeting. It was hella boring.
After our meeting we went back to drinking again. Lots and lots of drinking. Then we ate chili dogs and cheese fries at Nathan's before heading to the airport. At the airport I heard some female voices calling me when I got to security. It turned out to be the SoCal ladies coming up behind me. Lots of hugs and kisses were exchanged and they asked me where I was the night before. I let them know that I was tired so i went to bed early. They called me a party pooper and said next time they were in San Francisco I was going to have to take them out.
After arriving in Oakland, Deelan and I went to my Korean sugar momma's bar in San Leandro. No one was there so we had the whole place to ourselves. There was a new bartender working there named Michelle. She said that she had worked at the owner's two other bars before but I don't remember ever seeing her. My Korean sugar momma was upstairs sleeping off a bad hangover from earlier in the day. Deelan and I were hungry so we ordered a pizza but it didn't get there for an hour. In the mean time we drank a few beers. Quite a few beers. The new bartender was very playful, not surprising if she has worked for the owner before. She trains her girls well.
We basically just kicked it there and flirted with the Korean ladies (my sugar momma eventually came downstairs) all night. I got home a little after 2am and went right to bed.
Today I woke up early and had to quickly clean my bathroom and bedroom because Pamela was coming over. She showed up a little after 11am and we hung out before going to get burritos for lunch. The burritos were great. I took her to this place that has an enchilado burrito that is covered in enchilada sauce and cheese. She got a regular burrito though. After the burritos we went to the mall to walk around. I ended up spending money. SUCKS. I really needed new shoes for work and there was this sale at a shoe store, 2 pair for $100. I got myself a black pair and a brown pair and they are pimpin'. We also looked at orchids at Target. They had some really nice ones but I resisted the urge to buy them. They were really nice though! I think I'm going to have to find some fake ones to keep in my office.
After the mall we went to the new Fantasia over at the Lyon Food Center to get some bobba. I got the Honeydew and she got the Lychee. They were both damn good. We brought them back to my place and we spent about an hour spooning and stuff in my bed before she had to leave to a bridal shower for a friend here in Fremont. After the bridal shower she is coming back over so we can watch Sixteen Candles and spoon some more.
In other news, I deleted IslandGrl from my friend space on MySpace.com. I gave her the courtesy of an explanation, basically that we really aren't friends anymore and I thought it was something that had to be done in order for me to move on. I didn't get a response for days and I was very happy. Then I got a response on Thursday night. I probably shouldn't have read it but I did anyway. The shit really hit the fan. She was very upset and really lashed out at me. She told me that I had no consideration for her feelings and how my actions have hurt her ever since things started going bad between us. She blamed me for the fact that she is not happy in her current relationship. She also said that I was the one who gave up on "us" and then gave up on our friendship. There was a lot more nasty stuff and accusations directed at me and what I have supposedly done.
I sent her a reply letting her know that I haven't decided to end our friendship, it's just a fact that it is non-existent. I questioned why she always gets so hysterical when I try to make a clean break between us when she is the one who doesn't want to have anything to do with me. It makes no sense to me why she has to be able to say that she is my friend when the actual act of being a friend is something she has shown no interest in. We don't communicate, we don't hang out, we don't do any of the things that friends do. I just see no use in playing lip service to a phony friendship. Maybe I should have just let her keep the illusion of us having a friendship and went about my business knowing the truth. How much of a phony would that make me though?

I got two new orchids this weekend and I'm so happy! Look at the full size pictures here. Here are small pictures of them:
Yellow/Purple Oncidium
See the bud back there? It's blooming! I'm so excited. There are a couple of other buds too and I can't wait for them to bloom. It's so fun watching them open up.
Green/Purple/White Paphiopedilum
I love the petal design on this one.
I really hope I can keep these guys blooming over and over again. I have orchid food and I'm studying all the info I can get my hands on to make that possible.
