Ok, before I finish my wonderful recap of the DC trip I have to tell you that last night at the Oakland A's game I bought the hugest hot dog I have ever seen. This was more than a puney foot long. It must have been like 18 inches long! BIG WEINER! I wish mine was that big, I would become a porn star in a flash.
Also this morning I went to McDonald's and ate a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle. If you don't know what that is here is a description: think two mini syrup infused pancakes with bacon, egg, and cheese in the middle, sandwich style. Mmm mmm good. I think tomorrow i'm going to have the sausage and cheese McGriddle.
more food means more potbelly!
So on Thursday in DC for lunch we had tortilla soup which was not very good, and BBQ chicken with the skin on, rice, black beans, corn, and some plantains. For dessert we had a slice of marble cheesecake.
Angela came in late, didn't pay attention, went to sleep, and stroked my hairy forearms. eeeeeeeeeeeeew!
After the conference I chilled in my room and then went out to get dinner. As I was walking past this bar the dudes from the conference ran out and asked me to join them. I was really looking forward to eating at one of the nice little restaurants but I also didn't want to pass up the chance to chill with the dudes. So I went in and had a turkey burger. The dudes were eating mountains of hot wings. They had a 10 cents per hot wing special so the dudes were stuffing themselves.
Afterwards half the dudes went back to the hotel to study for the exam on Saturday and the other half went out for a stroll on King St. I was with the half that went for a stroll. On the way back to the hotel after checking out the sights it started raining. The dudes hopped into a small liquor store to buy beer and I asked them if they wanted me to hail a cab so we wouldn't have to walk in the rain. They said no and went into the store to buy beer and stuff.
By the time they came out it we were in the middle of a full blown lighting storm with typhoon strength wind and rain coming down fast. It totally sucked. We ran under the awning of this abandoned theater and decided to wait the storm out. One of the dudes who was local was sure that it would pass. It didn't, we sat there for an hour and a half. I finally ran into the middle of the street to stop a cab and the dudes climbed in. The streets were totally flooded by that time and you couldn't even see the sidewalk. Blah!
Friday's lunch consisted of clam chowder (heeheehee, that always makes me laugh) and a giant cobb salad. For dessert we had a creme brulle type thingy. It tasted almondy. Friday was by far the worst of the meals that we were provided. I would have gone to Theissman's for lunch with a few of the other people but there was a freak storm and I didn't want to walk two blocks in thunder and lightning.
That night some local Corvette dudes from the corvette forum wanted to take me out. They took me to a place called Camelot. It was a strip club. DC strip clubs are wierd. The strippers cannot approach you and solicit lap dances, in fact lap dancing is not allowed! I like the no soliciting part but the no lap dancing needs to be fixed. That is wack yo!
OK, so this entry is way long and nobody is going to read about saturday if I continue writing. I'll finish up tomorrow. Still no internet access at my new pad. ack!
